Brian Kelly joins and Lorna Campbell rejoins Cetis team

We welcome two old friends into Cetis this week. Lorna Campbell will return to her role as Assistant Director and Brian Kelly joins us as an Innovation Advocate.

Until recently Brian worked at UKOLN, frequently contributing to Cetis’s events, publications and discussions, as well as maintaining his own presence through the UK Web Focus blog. At Cetis he will apply his extensive experience and expertise to our work in standards, accessibility, social media and open practices.

Lorna rejoins us in her accustomed role after a hiatus of several months following the University of Strathclyde’s decision to terminate the Cetis Memorandum of Understanding and the contracts of all Cetis staff at the university. These changes mean Strathclyde University is no longer a partner in the delivery of the Centre’s work, and unfortunately this has seen us lose the services of Sheila MacNeill and Martin Hawksey. We welcome Lorna back and wish Sheila and Martin the very best in their new jobs.

Cetis Director Paul Hollins said:

We are delighted to have Lorna back on board and to welcome Brian to the Cetis team. We have a number of new projects starting over the next few months and so it is essential that we have the Cetis team back up to capacity. Lorna and Brian bring their talents and enthusiasm to the work we do and we are delighted to have them on board.”
