Overview

The past few years have seen significant developments in open education including the recent MOOC frenzy. This session will enable participants to look beyond the hype and consider the implications for institutions in the environmental context of increasing choice for learners about how, when and where they study.
Audrey Watters (Journalist and author of Hack Education) and Amy Woodgate (University of Edinburgh) will share their thoughts and experiences around MOOCs and open education to stimulate discussion on institutional strategy and the development of new pedagogical, business and organisational models.
